On the Descent from Heaven is the 33rd of sixty-four Memes of Aspan which were mistakenly shared with the Otani people by the goddess Suu. This particular meme was once thought to be in the possession of the High Priestess of Aspan and a sacred relic of the Caliphate of Ontustik. Rumours have surfaced, however, that this meme has gone missing and resurfaced someplace in the Aydahar Confederation.
The text contains information on the care of the soul and how it is to be conveyed to heaven after the physical death of its owner. The meme continues to describe in gruesome detail what might happen to a soul when the body is destroyed abruptly or under unusual circumstances. The book warns that very close attention must be paid to preserve the spirit, which is by far more precious than the body that contains it.

This meme exhibits strange behaviors when in the vicinity of other memes of its supposed set. This set consists of those memes describing the transits to and from heaven and the nether world.
