The Fists of Woden is a militant religious group made up almost entirely of human monks. They despise anything that is non-human and anyone who does not recognize Woden as the only god of true divine importance. Members are brash, opinionated and 100% steadfast in their devotion to their sect.

While disapproving of the lazy approach to religion doled out by the Temple of Woden, it is not unusual for members of the Fists to also work for and even draw a salary from the Temple, performing their Fists of Woden duties on their off hours. There are almost certainly those in the Fists who would like to assume control of the Temple of Woden and shape the temple's dogmas and practices into something more rigid and uncompromising... and of course, racially pure.

Dogmas of the Fists[edit]

The Fists of Woden prefer the unarmed combat to all other forms, regarding it as the only clean form of combat. This sometimes creates contradictions within the faction, since the most effective techniques for unarmed combat tend to come from the neighboring nation of Batis. The residents of Batis are human, however members of the Fists tend to prefer the Ortalyk variety of humans and the Ortalyk variety of human customs where possible. Unfortunately for the hard-liners, the Sigis-based forms of unarmed combat remain superior and are ubiquitous among the Fists of Woden.
