Population
The Ungirsi Federation now stands at an estimated population of 1.6 million Ungir. The Ungir are famously difficult to take census on, thanks in part due to their subterranean nature. It is believed that they totalled some 5 million before the Grendel War. As natural allies to the Grendel they were the first over the border into Ortalyk and the first to pay the price of war with their lives.
Now in peacetime, the Ungir do have a knack for replenishing populations due to communal living and relaxed social mores which tend to keep the female Ungir in a continuous cycle of pregnancy and childbirth.
Few non-humans reside in the Ungirsi Federation. The Ungir tend to go out of their way to make non-humans feel unwelcome in their territory and with the exception of hardcore Kuulik traders, few are willing to put up with Ungir social life unless there is a huge profit to be made.
