Attorcoppe (pronounced At-er-cop-pee) is a patron to anyone who has anything to do with insects, particularly spiders. She loves all things to do with the number eight, including octagons and music, which is made up of 8-note octaves.

Depictions[edit]

Attorcoppe is described as a woman with spider legs, sometimes luring those who view her to a slow and painful death. In other depictions she weaves a giant web which is actually a large musical instrument in which she weaves complex melodies. Some say these are to inhabit the dreams and soothe the slumbers of her followers, while others will describe these sonorous tones as a method to lure prey.

Lore[edit]

Intercession[edit]

Attorcoppe has been fabled to intercede in human affairs that involve insects, sometimes saving and sometimes killing them. She will give particular inspiration to bards who will sometimes learn unique and popular melodies from her in their sleep.
