Next Session Sixth Farthing Session

The Fifth Farthing Session began at sea as the party headed to the port of Aidyn, to collect a bounty for the captured pirate Smagul Burkit and to find new quarry. They reported immediately to the Admiralty office where they met with the duty officer, an Half-Ælf named Alua Kunduz. Lieutenant Kunduz issued the reward in the form of a banknote and directed the party to look at "the board" where they would find other bounties.

Two interested the party, and Madil Zhaydra asked for and received letters of marque to pursue the pirate captain Aykerim Abruy, sailing the brigantine, Marjan. He had apparently been up to no good in these waters. They also received a letter for a pirate captain Yerbol Kaskyrbai who had apparently stolen 3 sloops from drydock. These were suspected to be in local waters near Aidyn.

Cargo Hauling

Imanbek Akerke greeted the party at the Kuulik Trade Company office. He paid for the delivery of the goods from Shokan, 600 pieces of gold, and expressed a small amount of astonishment. He asked if they were going back in that direction as he had 200 tons of cargo that needed to get to the capitol of Jagalik, though saying that taking it as far as Shokan would be fine. The party agreed to take the cargo all the way to Jagalik. "Don't sink," said Imanbek as the deal was concluded.

Return to Shokan

The party returned to Shokan, delivered the cartographer's assistant to his office and negotiated exclusive rights to the maps for a time. The cartographer said the charts would be ready in about a week. The party asked for what charts were available to get them to Jagalik. The cartographer had enough to get them to Bayzhan which he provided them free of charge.

To Bayzhan and Beyond

Wasting no time, the party headed to Bayzhan where it made up its lack of charts, by purchasing charts all the way to Jagalik. Taking its time, the party spent a night in Bayzhan and then another in the southern port of Nurlybek. It was there that they learned the fate of the Baalasi.

The Baalasi

The night of rest in Nurlybek let the party in on a story about Captain Raushan Ayzara and her schooner, the Baalasi, which apparently days earlier had run into a collection of green sea creatures. The creatures with four arms and a miserable disposition had nearly sunk her ship, despite the efforts of a seasoned party of adventurers opposing them. The party witnessed the ship with many gaping holes torn from her sides.

The End of Captain Aykerim Abruy

After rounding the southern Araldar cape, the party came across a brigantine flying no flags, and listing to port. The party examined and noted that the crew was all ashore. Recognizing this as their quarry, the party opted to walk on water to assault the pirate crew. By the time that the captain was subdued, the rest of the party dropped their weapons and surrendered.

Another bounty secure, or was it???
