The Sanctum of Fenris is an organization steeped in Wodenism, however, its adherents favour the exploits and significance of Fenris wolf. Unlike the tale of when Fenris was trapped by the gods and took the hand of Tiw, the worshippers of Fenris tell the story differently in which Tiw tangled the cable around Fenris' front paw, causing him to lose the paw and endure great hardship ever since.
Sanctum of Fenris lore also varies with mainstream Wodenism in the telling of Ragnarok. In the Sanctum's version, Fenris kills Woden and survives to bring forth a canid future to the heavens and Otan.
The Sanctum of Fenris is not a bookish sect and rarely, preach directly from the Book of Woden. Their prayers to Fenris often involve howling and with particular vigor if moonlight is involved. They regularly train clerics, druids and other Wodenist clergy to assist in the everyday lives of the Garis citizens they serve.
The clerics of the Sanctum of Fenris have ensured that every city and town in the Garis Triumvirate has a temple where devotees can pay their respects to the mighty Fenris.
Membership
The Garis are instinctively religious and upward of 2-3 million of them may utter small praises or daily devotions to Fenris, the organization itself is limited to possibly 30,000 clerics and druids, though these clergy are very involved in domestic politics.
History
The Sanctum of Fenris is a young organization and has only existed since 211 IM, though worship of Fenris likely dates back to 1 IM. It is suspected by many that the organization was created by the citizens of the Ustemdik Region as a method to exert more political influence over the rest of the country.
Current Activities
The clergy of the Sanctum of Fenris have taken a recent interest in the activites of Zhannur Timurlan, who has been building up forces in the Ustemdik Region in preparation for war with the rest of Otan. Clergy members generally dissatisfied with the Garis only occupying a tiny section of the Otani map are naturally sympathetic, however, the true faithful are zealous for war as they believe it might bring about Ragnarok.
