Ansha Bastiga's long career as a fighter and ranger led to his eventual recruitment to the Balagash city guard. Before the famed Concord of Kala Astanals, Balagash was regularly overrun by plagues of kobolds. Captain Bastiga found his calling during these times, having been especially adept at anticipating, tracking and ultimately killing the wretched beasts.

Later in his career, when not at his post, he could often be found at The Stuffed Kobold, an inn and tavern which among other trophies, boasts an actual kobold, stuffed and mounted by Captain Bastiga himself.

Bastiga was tried and found guilty by the Tsar's Guard on charges of treason and sedition on Juma, the 22nd of Akpan, 221 IM. His sentence of execution was carried out the same day at the western outskirts of Balagash, Ortalyk. He is survived by his wife and two children.
