Ansha Bastiga's long career as a fighter and ranger led to his eventual recruitment to the Balagash city guard. Before the famed Concord of Kala Astanals, Balagash was regularly overrun by plagues of kobolds. Captain Bastiga found his calling during these times, having been especially adept at anticipating, tracking and ultimately killing the wretched beasts.
Today, when not at his post, he can often be found at The Stuffed Kobold, an inn and tavern which among other trophies, boasts an actual kobold, stuffed and mounted by Captain Bastiga himself.
