There are currently four unfolding Dungeons & Dragons (5e) campaigns running through the ever evolving world of Otan, under the stewarddship of the Otan author Robyn Blaber (aka Chevalier Robyn). While there is always room for more than one campaign in this vast world, there currently is probably not more that a single game master can do. There are over a dozen individuals, each with their own interests exploring Otan and learning its secrets every week.
The Primordial Campaign[edit]
The Primordial Campaign was the first and is currently the most powerful party in Otan with their levels up into the double digits. They have been running over 30 sessions with a number of changes in the headcount. The narrative revolves primarily around the uneasy relationship between Obsidian Black and Panamon Cree. This campaign may be the first to explore beyond Otan.
With thirty-plus sessions under their belts, The Primordial Campaign have visited nearly every country in Otan. They have ridden battle lizards in the Altinqor and engaged in sea battles in Araldar.
The main player characters are:
- Obsidian Black - Ælf Sorcerer
- Lord Panamon Cree - Half-Ælf Warlock ft. Tryx
- Mira Nephilim - Qurilissi Druid/Barbarian
- Rayjok Halperion - Grendel Ranger
- Currently on secret mission - Athin Alionel - Ælf Ranger / Rogue
The Tertiary Campaign[edit]
While by no means bound to this terrain, the The Tertiary Campaign is a lower level (though growing) campaign set in the mountains of Soltustik, an inhospitable northern country often covered in snow. The party has captured an ice palace and a temple from the Garis who were inexplicably entrenched in the southern Soltustik mountans.
Currently they seek to search for the country's missing king and explore the mysteries of a newly discovered race of cat-like people called the Misik.
The main player characters are:
- Ebil Yalies - Changeling Cleric
- Lirris Liadon - Ælf Barbarian
- Raqim Anuar - Human Wizard ft. Wisp III
The Farthing Campaign[edit]
The Farthing Campaign is a seafaring campaign and the only campaign in Otan with an apparent leader, Admiral Madil Zhadyra. These brave souls inhabit the waters of Araldar challenging pirates and invaders alike on the open sea.
In recent adventures, the party has destroyed a Garis Corvette, expanded its fleet to four vessels, and recently set out to challenge the Ælfgarad navy which has blockaded several Araldar ports and occupied the capitol of Jagalik.
The main player characters are:
- Cemzick Nucklestamp - Gnome Sorcerer / Rogue
- Madil Zhadyra - Human Fighter
- Rael Starflower - Ælf Cleric
- Demitrius Black - Half-Ælf artificer
The Collateral Campaign[edit]
The Collateral Campaign started as all others, dealing with the troubles of western Ortalyk. Zombies and wandering hordes of misplaced Grendel and Ungir were among their biggest problems.
The campaign has shifted to more of a play-by-post paradigm in recent weeks, and has become a mélange of political intrigue and epic-scale warfare. Rayjok Halperion has acquired real political power in Otan and has wielded armies to great effect against those who threaten the land.
The main player characters are:
- Rayjok Halperion - Half-Grendel Ranger
- Caladan Ironforge - Dweorg Paladin
- Togzhan Kuat - Aydahar Sorceress
