Balagash is a small town in the northwestern region of Ortalyk, nestled in the heart of the Balagash Forest.
Government
The two principal members of the Balagash administration are the governor, Irimshik Akimi and the Captain of the Guard, Hedgewind Jalinbeti. Hedgwind is new to the position having recently taken over from Anasha Bastiga. Sadly the former Captain ran afoul of the Tsar and was hung for treason on the outskirts of town.
The governor, is a powerful wizard in his own right and a competent administrator. While his new Captain seems to have a proclivity for new ventures... and for some reason, flame.
Geography
Balagash is situated in western Ortalyk, in the northwest province of Karagay. This map shows its nearest neighboring settlements.
