While part of Ortalyk, the Kiywar Territory was the largest and least populated region of the country and had no official settlements. While small enclaves existed throughout the region, major settlements have proved impossible to establish. The territory had been routinely overrun by Ungir from the Ungirsi Federation and even in times of peace the terrain was forbidding, being mostly of cold desert with no access to rivers or streams.
The territorial leader was Boyar Almaz Zhibek, an appointment of the Tsar Batil Zhurek. He continues to be regarded a fierce warrior and much feared by Ungir. He defected from the Ortalyk realm after the secession of the Kiywar Territory and now serves as the Lord Commander of Jalinjeri military affairs.
