Editing Jalinjeri military

The [[Jalinjeri military]] is made up of 27 regular divisions, or perhaps more accurately described as irregular divisions and two special divisions.  Independent observers describe the [[Jalinjeri military]] as "hastily assembled and poorly trained".  The local [[Ortalykshilar]], however, stand in sharp contrast to this as they were ready to mount a defense against the [[Ortalyk military]], had the secession of the [[Kiywar Territory]] been answered with military force.

While it has been largely left to [[Hedgewind Jalinbeti]] to organize the military, though in recent months his [[Lord Commander of Jalinjeri]], the former [[Boyar of Kiywar Territory]], [[Almaz Zhibek]] has taken up the task of recruiting and training the nation's military. 

==Command Structure==

Prime Minister [[Hedgewind Jalinbeti]] is the commander-in-chief of the [[Jalinjeri military]].  His chief military leader is the [[Lord Commander of Jalinjeri]], [[Almaz Zhibek]].  Each of the four [[Jalinjeri]] prefectures has an [[Elemental Minister]] who is responsible for recruiting and training troops in their own prefecture.  

Being an excellent equestrian himself, he has personally lead charges on the battlefield and the head of his [[Tsar's Guard]] cavalry.  The recruitment, supply, training and upkeep of all but the [[Tsar's Guard]], are the responsibility of the various provincial boyars.  These political leaders sometimes lead their troops into battle and sometimes do not, depending on their personal nature and how they came to be boyar.  For each division a boyar recruits, he will appoint a general to lead and manage the division, and most [[Ortalyk]] officers will typically look to the general for orders even in the presence of a boyar.

==Ground Forces==
[[Jalinjeri military]] ground forces are made up of units called divisions, each consisting of of roughly 10,000 ground soldiers.  The organizations within a division can vary greatly depending on a number of factors from recruitment and logistics, to terrain and the nature of when the division was assembled. The bulk of most divisions are made up of infantry, followed in numbers by crossbowmen, cavalry, engineers, quartermasters, signallers and special forces. The latter are often made up of spellcasters and other adventurer classes.

Each of the X divisions of the [[Jalinjeri military]] have a specific role.  These soldiers are sourced from each of the various [[Jalinjeri]] prefectures and recruited under the auspices of that province's Elemental Minister. Each division is made up of about 10,000 men, typically divided into 5 battalions of 2,000, each of which are divide into brigades ranging from 200 to 500 men depending on their role, i.e. cavalry, infantry, engineers, etc.

The divisions provided by each prefecture of [[Jalinjeri]] are as follows, including the divisions which are marked as "at liberty" during peacetime:

Since the founding of the town of [[Jalinbeti]], [[Hedgewind Jalinbeti]] has been recruiting for the local military.  Unlike divisions anywhere else in the world, the divisions of [Jalinbeti]] contain equally distributed numbers of the different races who make up the overall force.  Each division will feature, for example, [[Grendel]] infantry, [[Human]] cavalry and [[Ælf]]en archers, not to mention other specialists of different races ranging anywhere from [[Sweardælf]], to [[Hellspawn]] to [[Ungir]].  

[[Jalinbeti Prefecture]] has been able to muster upwards of fifteen divisions with a single division representing the region during peacetime:
* The [[Flame of Jalinbeti]] - "The Flame" - Elite troops comprising the most powerful division in [[Jalinjeri]], hand chosen by [[Hedgewind Jalinbeti]] himself.

* [[Jalinbeti 4th Division]] "Dog Catchers" - Currently on duty near [[Jalinbeti]].
* [[Jalinbeti 5th Division]] "Flame Dancers" - Currently on duty near [[Jalinbeti]].
* [[Jalinbeti 6th Division]] "Volcanoes" - Currently on duty near [[Jalinbeti]].
* [[Jalinbeti 7th Division]] "The Burning" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 8th Division]] "Juggernauts" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 9th Division]] "Spearheads" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 10th Division]] "Black Flames" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 11th Division]] "Miracle Workers" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 12th Division]] "Poison Arrows" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 13th Division]] "Fists of Flame" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].
* [[Jalinbeti 14th Division]] "Hotheads" - Currently on duty near [[Halperion]].

The [[Halperion Prefecture]] has been able to muster a few divisions, one of which was formed before the [[Garis war]]:
* [[Halperion Irregulars]], - [[Rayjok Halperion]]'s handpicked division made up of various races including [[Human]], [[Grendel]], [[Ungir]], [[Ælf]]en, [[Dweorg]]en and [[Aydahar]] forces.
* [[Halperion 1st Division]], "Halperion Roughriders" - The largely human cavalry-based division is mostly made up of the former [[Kiywar Territory]] [[Ortalykshilar]] humans and perhaps the best trained outside the [[Halperion Irregulars]].
* [[Halperion 2nd Division]], "Swordmasters" - These forces were assembled from the defeated [[Sigis]] empire.  Their leadership and ranks rounded up by [[Kiywar Territory]] [[Ortalykshilar]] and others of various races and abilities.
* [[Halperion 3rd Division]], "The Aydahar Dragoons" - Made up of various [[Aydahar]] featuring many battle-lizard riding cavalry.  They were recruited from the settlers and refugees arriving from [[Aydahar]] many with previous military training.
* [[Halperion 4th Division]], "The Horde" - This division is made up of [[Grendel]] who have migrated from [[Maercland]] who wished the opportunity to participate in a war.
* [[Halperion 5th Division]], "The Diggers" - This division is made up entirely of [[Ungir]] who have joined the [[Halperion]] cause in exchange for digging rights beneath the city.  They have recently been tasked with creating tunnels and earthworks in both offensive and defensive capacities.
* [[Halperion 6th Division]], "The Arrowsmythes" - This largely [[Ælf]]en division was recruited from settlers from [[Ælfwode]].  They are particularly best equipped in terms of 

====Halperion Special Forces====
* [[Siege Breakers]], through negotiation [[Rayjok Halperion]] and his ''Builder'' [[Spire]] recruited a division of hill and stone giants to fortify [[Halperion]]'s city walls and to hurl masses of stone at an invading army.
* [[Halperion Airborne]], through negotiation [[Rayjok Halperion]] and his ''Minster of Dragons'' [[Togzhan Kuat]] recruited dragons; in some cases, very large dragons.

===[[Jalinkalasi Prefecture]]===
[[Jalinkalasi Prefecture]] is formerly a part of [[Karazalik]] and its military recriuting was nearly entirely from within, with many volunteers from the [[Karazaliktar]] from the south.  They have also recruited the [[Aydahar]] and [[Ontustikter]] refugees displaced by the [[Garis]] aggression.
* [[Jalinkalasi 1st Division]], "Kalampir's Finest" - Currently on duty monitoring the coast of [[Kuuliki Bay]].
* [[Jalinkalasi 2nd Division]], "Water Stompers" - Currently on duty monitoring the coast of [[Kuuliki Bay]].
* [[Jalinkalasi 3rd Division]], "The Wall" - Currently on duty monitoring the [[Aydahari Confederation]] border.

[[Jalinkoli Prefecture]] is nearly entirely settled by [[Human]]s and [[Ælf]]es.  As such their forces are nearly all made up of cavalry and archers.

==Air Forces==
With the migration of dragons from the recently occupied [[Aydahar Confederation]], [[Jalinjeri]] has assembled the vestiges of an air force. They do not currently possess any airships. 

==Naval Forces==
The [[Jalinjeri]] is currently without any naval forces.  Several hundred river vessels do exist for moving people and materiel op and down the rivers between the country and its neighbors.
